Széchenyi Venture Capital Fund Management is a 100% state owned company. Its trustee is the Hungarian Ministry for National Economy. The fund manager is a full member of the Hungarian Venture Capital Alliance (HVCA).

The first fund of the manager, Széchenyi Venture Capital Capital Fund (SZTA) was launched in 2011 to support Hungarian SMEs. Since then it has established three more venture capital funds to finance the development of small and medium sized entreprises. Széchenyi Venture Capital Fund is now endowed with with HUF 22 billion. Irinyi II. Venture Capital Fund with HUF 8 billion targets industries that are emphasized by the industrial development strategy with a special focus on developments related to digitalization. Carpathians Capital Investment Fund fosters cross-border economic activities of Hungarian small and medium sized enterprises with HUF 20 billion, while the National Stock Exchange Fund aims to prepare enterprises for stock exhange listing with a budget of HUF 13 billion.

Through its current programmes, Széchenyi Venture Capital Fund Management Ltd. altogether manages HUF 63 billion, which is invested in companies with growth potential to develop Hungarian SMEs and to put them on a long term growth path.

Besides the capital injection, the fund manager supports the growth, product development, market expansion, export, job creation goals, as well as structural reorganization of its portfolio companies by strategic level business and financial advice.
